بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Assalamu Alaikum.
Many people don’t know that there are two sides to my life: Islam and tech. I started out in tech, then studied Islam, returned to tech and continue to study Islam (you can read my story here).
Ironically, the first place those two sides met was this website. I set up the entire website myself (plugins and all), and obviously I write all the articles.
I have another project that I’m working on that combines both sides. It’s called Al-Aafaaq (The Horizons).
Today, I launched another project that also combines both sides: my halal AI tool finder. It is a directory of AI tools arranged into categories and subcategories. Any tool whose primary purpose goes against Islamic teachings has been weeded out, alhamdulillah. That makes it safer to browse, especially for the younger generation. The way it is organised also makes it useful for non-Muslims.
[Disclaimer: I had Claude (an AI assistant similar to ChatGPT) look through the list multiple times to weed out the bad stuff and also did spot checks myself. However, there might still be a few tools that slipped through the cracks, so let me know if you spot anything.]
Here’s the website. Your feedback would be appreciated:
Baarakallahu feekum.
